Santa Clues, a Fun Read the Room Activity and More
This can be Read the Room Activity gives clues about different Christmas/Winter objects that your students will try to guess as they walk around the room with a buddy or independently. The clues are numbered and the students have a sheet with pictures and words. They can walk around the room and then read the clue and write the number of the clue by the correct answer.
But this can also be a Morning Meeting Game/Activity in which the teacher gives each student a picture and then she reads a Santa Clue and the child who has the correct answer jumps up or you can place the pictures in the center of the rug and as the teacher reads each clue and child races hi/her hand and finds the correct picture to match the clue.
Another idea: Give one student a clue (a stronger reader) and another student a picture. Then have children walk around and find their partner.
I know this activity is a great way to get students actively involved with critically thinking and having some fun around the holidays.
